I. Daily Cleaning and Inspection
Cleaning the interior cavity and surfaces: At the end of each shift, remove dust, residues, and oil deposits from the conveyor belt and the inner walls of the furnace to prevent buildup that could reduce heat transfer efficiency or create safety hazards.
Inspect the filters and exhaust vents: Regularly clean the filters and exhaust vents of the hot-air circulation system to prevent blockages that can impair ventilation and cause equipment overheating.
Inspect the fan and heating element: Verify that the fan operates smoothly and is free of unusual noises; examine the heating element for deformation, discoloration, or carbon buildup, and promptly address any localized overheating risks.
II. Regular Inspection of Critical Components
Conveyor system: Inspect chain tension, bearing lubrication, and drum wear to ensure smooth operation and prevent misalignment or breakage.
Door seal and door gap: Ensure the oven door is properly sealed to minimize heat loss and improve energy efficiency.
Electrical Connections: Inspect terminal blocks for oxidation and looseness, paying particular attention to the insulation of cables in high-temperature areas to prevent short circuits or fire hazards.
III. Lubrication and Tightening
Regularly lubricate moving components such as chains, bearings, and drive shafts with high-temperature grease (e.g., No. 2 lithium-based grease); lubrication every 150 operating hours is recommended.
Each shift shall inspect anchor bolts and bearing assemblies for looseness; any loosening found must be promptly tightened to prevent increased equipment vibration that could lead to damage.
IV. Calibration of the Temperature Control System
It is recommended to use a multi-point temperature logger or an infrared thermometer each month to verify the consistency between the actual temperature inside the furnace and the displayed value.
Check that the thermocouple mounting is secure, and ensure temperature control accuracy remains within ±1°C to maintain consistent drying quality.
V. Safety and Operating Procedures
It is strictly prohibited to remove safety guards without authorization; after maintenance, they must be restored to their original condition.
Operators must undergo specialized training and be familiar with emergency response procedures; in the event of an anomaly, they should immediately shut down the equipment and notify maintenance personnel.
Always disconnect the power supply before performing maintenance to ensure operational safety.
VI. Maintenance Record Management
After each maintenance, meticulously document the maintenance date and time, scope of work, replaced components, and other relevant details to facilitate equipment condition tracking and the development of follow-up plans.
Systematic routine maintenance can significantly extend the service life of tunnel dryers, reduce failure rates, and improve production efficiency and energy utilization.
